LulzBot TAZ

"As of this week, I have printed approximately 35lbs of plastic, (seven 5lb rolls) and have not had a failure yet to the hot end, or mechanical assembly. I have broken a few parts during transport due to me being careless, but the AO-100 and AO-101 [earlier models]  are the most rock solid enthusiast-grade 3D printers on the market. You can literally stand on one and it will not flex or break. I have no experience yet with the TAZ but I am hoping to receive a review unit soon. Personally, I feel that the Budaschnozzle hot end design is the state of the art at the moment and it's reliability is unmatched. At the moment, I feel that Lulzbot is the only 3D printer manufacturer that I can recommend for a classroom environment. "

According to the manufacturer, the LulzBot TAZ incorporates solid engineering into an easy-to-use 3D printer that is small enough to fit on your desk at home and light enough to transport to the office. It has a print area of 10.8 inches by 9.8 inches, and features a print plate that employs a heated borosilicate glass bed covered with PET film.
